For sale Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1500 Coupe built in 1966 and registered for the first time in 1967. In white with a black roof and a fantastic beautiful large vinyl sliding / folding roof. This sliding roof is easy to open and close by hand and gives an almost convertible feeling when open.
In 1951, Volkswagen contacted the body builder Karmann from Osnabruck to build a car together that would boost Volkswagen’s image and satisfy the discerning car buyers. Karmann turned to the Italian design agency Ghia from Turin for the design of the sports car and designed the body that would fit on the slightly widened bottom plate of a Volkswagen beetle.
Volkswagen introduced the Karmann Ghia in 1955 and between 1955 and 1974 more than half a million units were built as a Coupe and as a convertible version. In 1966 23,387 coupes and 5,395 convertibles were delivered.
This Karmann Ghia Coupe is equipped with a 1600cc engine with 50 HP and a four-speed manual gearbox. Car drives very well and has recently been MOT tested until April 15, 2022. Since 1997, this Volkswagen has a Dutch registration and since 1998 this Karmann Ghia has driven approximately 41,500 km, a mileage overview is available in our sales folder.
The following options are mounted, large vinyl sliding / folding roof, two exterior mirrors, ground switch mounted on the battery.
