The Austin Healey 100-4 BN1 was the first Austin Healey that was put into production by Austin. In 1952, prior to the Earls Court Motor show, Austin discovered the Healey built by Donald Healey Motor Corporation and purchased Healey’s production rights before the Motor show opened. In this Healey, Austin saw the answer to the Triumph TR sports cars.
The Austin Healey 100-4 BN1 were built between May 1953 and June 1955 and a total of 14,634 BN1 cars were built. After this, the Austin Healey 100-4 BN2 was introduced and a long success period followed in which many models were put into the market by Austin Healey.
This Austin Healey was delivered new in Germany in 1955 to an American soldier who then took this 100-4 to America. The 100-4 was an interesting car for Americans who were only used to very big cars. This Healey has recently been completely restored in Belgium, a photo report and a Heritage certificate are available.
The following options have been fitted; original Hardtop, bonnet with louveres, leather bonnet belt, silver-spoked wheels, two front fog lights, original plexiglass side windows and two bumper rosettes at the rear.
This 100-4 has a fantastic appearance with the mounted Hardtop, of course this hardtop can also be dismantled fairly easily and you can drive open with the windscreen flat.
This Austin Healey 100-4 BN1 is not in our showroom. If you want more information or want to make an appointment, please contact Lex van Lammeren via firstname.lastname@example.org or 0031-611-508738. I look forward hearing from you.
